Girts are roll formed "Z" or "C" sections 3-1/2", 4", 6", 8", 9", 10", 11", 12", or 14", deep. Each flange of these members has a stiffening lip formed at 50 degrees to the flange for "Zs" and 90 degrees to the flange on "Cs". Secondary structural framing shall include the purlins, girts, eave struts, rake angles, clips and other secondary structural parts. Steel used in the fabrication of cold formed structural members shall be 16, 14, 12, or 10 gauge with a minimum yield of 55,000 psi. Purlins, girts and eave struts shall be cold formed "C" or "Z" sections with flanges and stiffened edges. |
